Satyam keen on strategic acquisitions in China

Global consulting and IT giant Satyam Computer Services today announced plans to launch its largest Global Delivery Campus outside India in the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing and said it was keen to ramp up operations in China through strategic acquisitions "We as a company firmly believes in strategic acquisitions and 97 per cent of the people working (with Satyam) in China today are local Chinese. So we would like to strengthen our operations in China through strategic acquisitions," CEO of Satyam Computers Ltd, Rama Raju said here.
"We are open to that (strategic acquisitions) and we will be looking at companies which can add value,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Raju said after the ground-breaking ceremony for the campus at the Nanjing Software Park in Nanjing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], capital of east China's Jiangsu province. "It is not just for the scale it is more related to the competencies.If we find good companies with the right kind of competencies,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we would definitely look into them quite seriously," he told reporters at a press conference.
The 2,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],500-seat state-of-the-art global delivery campus will include development areas, training centres, convention centre and recreational facilities. Raju did not disclose the investment made by China so far but stressed that money won''t be a proble if the company found enough business potential. "Satyam's largest development facility in China demonstrates its commitment to the country,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," he said.
