The chief problem faced at today’s teacher is that they feel students are loosing interest in studies. If we look from the student’s outlook then students feel that whatever is taught to them in schools is boring. Being a teacher, I faced these problems and tried to solve them. Based on my experiences, some of the solutions to boost interest and curiosity in students towards studies are:
1. In a class of 30-40 students there may be extra than 20-25 hobbies immediately the teacher’s job namely to correlate these hobbies with their studies. Suppose a student has a hobby of collecting stamps. The History pedagogue can ask the students to send always stamps with Famous personalities published on it and with the aid of these stamps, the course tin be made interesting. Other student may favor something else that can make our study-room teaching well.
2. What would occur whether ….. For example a science teacher while teaching about sun and universe can ask what would occur if these will be no nights/days. Let student give another answers and write all of them point advisable on the Board. This will develop imagination and creativity among students and they will learn magnitude of the circulation of earth and the featuring of solar system.
3. Generally a few students leads team discussion and others remain quite. This proclivity create inferiority complex among those who did not participated in discussion. We know thatall students are not equally skilled. Therefore it is better to make 4-5 groups in the class have nearly same class of communication skill. This department is nice merely not for slow learners merely also efficient for the lofty achievers.
4. Boring theory classes make student dull and motionless. Suppose a education about germination of seeds and reproduction in plants. The best direction to teach this notion is to apportion students some task such for they may be instructed to put same grains in a watery cotton fabric and observe behind 8-12 hours. The student ambition learn more mainly when doing this.
5. The teacher should no anticipate correct reaction from the student, every period.
