"What an preposterous thing it is to pass over all the expensive parts of a male, and nail our attention on his infirmities." - Joseph Addison, English essayist

I was reminded this week of a wonderful story told by Dr. Wayne Dyer
Tiffany Sale
, one of my favorite inspirational writers and speakers. Dr. Dyer has been featured on Public Television recently talking about inspiration. In his presentations, he shares this noteworthy story about how an African tribe knobs misconduct within the tribe. Instead of attacking the person and focusing on what they did wrong, the whole tribe lovingly gathers around the accused person. Then for days, or how ever long it takes, each individual in the surround takes turns saying one admirable thing about the person in the middle. This works on until everyone has said all the sincerely positive words they want to share. Because of this practice, as you can assume, reiterate crimes are rare.
Dr. Dyer narrated the fable in reference to how he dealt with the pill damage problem of one of his daughters. At one point the family forced the daughter to hear as additional family members reported how many her behavior was "hurting" the recess of them. Sharing their hurt and pique, of way, did not change the position.
Dr. Dyer frequently talks about "what you converge on is what expands". When he fulfilled that he was no following his own knowledge and that the family was focusing on all the asset the daughter was act wrong, he knew they had to shift their focus. Taking what he had learned from the African tribe and his own educations

, the family shifted to sharing always the numerous splendid things they loved about the daughter. They focused on the quite best part of her and for that part "inflated", the obsession problem went away.
Is there something in your life, (child, brother, spouse, partner, assistant, friend, adjoin, etc), that you are considering about from a negate point of view? Are you often pointing out to them, their failings or talking behind their backs to others about them? If you had apt make a menu of by least ten positive entities almost this human right now, what would you jot down?
Are you prepared to try a new reach? Take the challenge to shift your focus and look for what's good in the person. Make your list and share it with them. If you begin to slide back into negative thoughts, re-focus at mentally reiterating your list. Then laugh as you watch the results! And a side behalf is you ambition feel better!
